BAC Water
3ml
Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) for reconstitution.
Research Profile
About BAC Water
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water for injection that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the standard solvent used to reconstitute lyophilized (freeze-dried) research peptides into a working solution.
The benzyl alcohol inhibits the growth of most common bacteria, which allows a reconstituted, properly stored vial to be accessed multiple times over a period of days — unlike single-use sterile water. Supplied as a laboratory reconstitution accessory.
Mechanism of Action
The 0.9% benzyl alcohol content acts bacteriostatically, suppressing microbial proliferation in the solution rather than sterilizing it, which extends the usable window of a reconstituted multi-access research vial when refrigerated.
Research Applications
- Reconstitution of lyophilized peptides
- Preparation of multi-access research vials
- General laboratory dilution
Provided for educational and research context only. BAC Water is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research use — it is not a drug, supplement, or medical product, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and is not for human or veterinary use.
